Louise Peterson an award winning sculptor of animals specializing in the art of the Great Dane captures the pure elegance of this breed with her beautifully crafted artwork.

One current exhibition, Paws & Reflect: The Art of Canines,  includes a life size Bella and the Bug, High Four, Grande Dame (Yorkie) and Multum in Parvo (Pug) and continues to travel to museums around the country. Paws and Reflect  opened at The Wildlife Experience in Colorado on July 14 and continue through October 14.  


Her work has captured the attention of the press lately as well. Chickadee is featured on the cover of the Journal of American Veterinary Medical Association’s June issue and the April 2007 issue of Southwest Art Magazine. The Spring 2007 issue of Sirius, the newsletter of the American Kennel Club Museum of the Dog will also feature Chickadee. Chickadee won Best in Show at Art Show at the Dog Show and was purchased for the museum.
