An update for all those who are following the horrific story about Michael Vick, who was indicted on charges of competitive dogfighting on July 17th, the Atlanta Falcons quarterback has been ordered to stay away from training camp, until the league reviews the dogfighting charges against him.

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell explains to Vick in a letter:

“While it is for the criminal justice system to determine your guilt or innocence, it is my responsibility as commissioner of the National Football League to determine whether your conduct, even if not criminal, nonetheless violated league policies, including the personal conduct policy.”

Training camp opens on Thursday July 26th, the same day Vick  is scheduled to appear in court.
