When your pet dies, how will you remember him, or her?

CNNMoney.com reports today that Paws & Remember a Fort Wayne, Ind.-based firm founded in 1997, provides pet memorialization services and can offer you packages ranging from $200 to $500, like the “simplicity” including cremation, an engraved birch urn and picture frame.

“People want some way of memorializing their pet and really paying tribute to a huge part of their family, but they want it to be easy to do,” said Randi Binstock, Chief Operating Officer of Paws & Remember.

It’s big business and is even turning into a franchising program.   The company hopes to have 12 franchises in operation within the next year.
