We received the following call for help today, from one of our LUCKY DAY shelters, the Kentucky Humane Society.

They have reached a critical level of animal intakes and are in immediate need of temporary foster homes.    We hope you might be able to help….

Today, the Kentucky Humane Society (KHS) is in desperate need of your help.

We have reached a critical level of animal intakes and are in immediate need of temporary foster homes for medium to large adult dogs, as we do not have space for all the pets that have been surrendered to us this week.

Please consider opening your home and your heart to a homeless adult dog TODAY.

If you are willing to foster or would like more information, please contact Volunteer Manager Jennifer Clark
TODAY at jclark@kyhumane.org or (502) 515-3145.

Foster care time commitments may vary— a homeless dog may need a foster home for as little as a few days up to as much as a month. Please note that KHS provides ALL necessary supplies for foster animals, including food, bowls and veterinary care.

To qualify as a KHS Foster Parent:

If you have other canines in your home, they must be fully vaccinated.
Foster animals must be housed indoors.
We ask that our foster parents be “on-call” on evenings and weekends, as we will contact you as soon as we have space available at one of our locations.
If you are not an already pre-approved KHS foster parent, you will have to undergo a brief application process.

The animals need your help. Contact Volunteer Manager Jennifer Clark at jclark@kyhumane.org or (502) 515-3145.

The Kentucky Humane Society (KHS) advocates the humane treatment of companion animals through leadership and proactive
solutions to pet overpopulation, including adoptions, education and spay/neuter efforts.
